Grand Theft Auto 5 is Likely Set for Next Year’s Release to Make Way for Other Games
January 28th, 2012If you are a big fan of the video game, you know all too well that you would do anything to be one of the first people to get your hands on the title. And if you are a fan of the Grand Theft Auto game you will find it a little hard to tell yourself that its latest instalment, the GTA V, will be pushed back further later until next year.
A lot of speculation has been surrounding the most anticipated game yet from the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Fans will have to hope that Rockstar Games, developers responsible for the GTA, will change their minds and slate the game for an earlier release. Market analysts say that things might change pushing the game to be released this year instead of next year.
Rockstar has been known to launch a bulk of their titles in the month of May. So far the successful run has yet been broken and the company will likely look forward to releasing other high profile titles to compensate for the unstable release date of the GTA. It would seem that Rockstar will move the launch date for the game beyond May.
Market analysts have pegged that the definite date for a possible release of the GTA 5 will be made sometime around May next year, the second half of the operating sales period of Rockstar. Although that may be the case, analysts say release dates may sometime be as early as October this year to May of next year at the most.
Other analysts are confident that the game will sell eventually this year. Assumptions have been made of Rockstar utilizing a one year marketing window for the latest GTA release. But if there ever is a reason why the game is pushed way ahead on the later date is plain and simple: to make room for this year’s hottest titles.
