I Got the Canon 10-22mm Lens Because I Have a Lot of Faith in the Brand

January 28th, 2012

I got a great deal on the Canon 10-22mm Lens so I went ahead an bought it despite the fact that Tokina has a lens on the market that seem to be garnering more favorable reviews. The reason for this is that I had a few bad experiences with third party lenses in the past so I have pretty much given up on them. If it was an isolated instance I could still accept it but it has happened multiple times which really shook my faith in these types of lenses. I found the customer support by third party lens manufacturers to be severely lacking as well hence my apprehension to ever deal with them again. Not that any of this matters really. I am very happy with my Canon lens and could not care less about the claims that it is outdated or that the Tokina lens offers better value for money. I have had no problems with Canon before and it is a brand that I believe in.
